Ruth is a graphics, pre-press and production specialist.  She served as the Production Director of CeBIT NEWS Media Network since 1992, responsible for the prepress and printing logistics for CeBIT VIEWS and CeBIT NEWS for the Hannover event and onsite publications for CeBIT Asia (Shanghai) and CeBIT America (NYC). Ms. Harland is fluent in English, German, and French, and conversant in Dutch.

Ruth has spent fifteen years in the publishing industry, starting with Oxfam Belgium, producing an English-language magazine. She then gained valuable experience in the world of newspapers, working on the production team of Europa Times in Belgium. Ruth then joined international business-to-business publisher The ASM Group, spearheading the production of the special publications group.

Always striving to use the best of technology to benefit her clients, Ruth, as Publications Director of Athletics Weekly in the UK, was instrumental in enabling the magazine to be one of the first in the country to successfully implement Direct-to-Plate technology.

Drawing on her linguistic and professional backgrounds Ruth is able to handle the production of a publication under extremely tight deadlines. Her hands-on experience of all aspects of the process enables her to direct her team, using the strengths of each member to benefit the project.
